To obtain further information regarding Bell's Fabrication, contact Michael Benulis (mbenulis@thebellcompany.com).
Bell can deliver a variety of products to third party customers including its own construction activities. Primary capabilities for all work are centered on Pipe Fabrication and Skid/Modular type units. Bell clients have included the National Institutes of Health, the Pentagon, IBM, Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, the Air National Guard, Department of Energy and West Valley Nuclear Services.

Bell’s pipe fabrication uses owner furnished engineered documents to assemble large bore pipe spools and assemblies.

Prior to shipping these large bore pipe spools and assemblies, Bell inspects them to ensure adherence to the standard piping codes, which are classified under ANSI B31.1, B31.3 and NQA-1.

Similar to the pipe fabrication, skid/modular type systems are also fabricated on the basis of owner furnished engineered documents; however, Bell converts these documents to detailed shop drawings and assembles according to the customer specifications.

Once the skid/module units are assembled, they are inspected and tested prior to shipment. Intricate systems for these types of skid/modular units can include complex equipment such as pumps, compressors, electrical, instrumentation and controls.
To support the variety of work, Bell has developed welding procedures for the joining of carbon steel, aluminum, chromium molybdenum steel, stainless steel, incolloy, hastelloy, and numerous other exotic alloys. For the detailing of these procedures and the conversion of engineered documents, Bell uses AutoCAD 2009, CADPipe and NavisWorks CAD design tools.
Prefabricated products, whether pipe assemblies or skid/modular type systems, are designed and assembled with the goal of improving jobsite safety and construction schedules. Improved safety and schedule savings are realized through:
  • The reduction of lost time due to inclement weather or uncontrolled environment.
  • Increase in production from utilization of an organized work flow, overhead cranes, welding positioners and portable welding equipment.
  • Reduction to site man-hours and thereby potential lost time accidents.
