Building Information Modeling (BIM)
Bell’s Building Information Modeling (BIM) Department drives performance in the field and enables our on-site Project Managers to deliver highest quality on-time and within budget. Bell collaborates with the General Contractor or Construction Manager and trade subcontractors to create a fully integrated model, allowing us to identify design conflicts, errors, and omissions prior to construction.
Our modelers use best practices and techniques and the latest software, including:
- Autodesk Building Design Suite 2016 - Ultimate
- Revit 2016
- TSI SysQue
- NavisWorks Manage
The benefits of BIM are:
Quality improvement - BIM allows the mechanical contractor to perform constructability reviews during the design phase. Clash-free BIM model ensures our craftsmen can prefabricate and install all mechanical/plumbing systems correctly the first time.
Schedule BIM eliminates rework during the construction phase and keeps the schedule progressing. BIM allows for more efficient use of material, labor, and pre-fabrication planning, reducing schedule timelines.
Cost reduction. BIM-based constructability reviews and clash detection avoid rework, and identifies any structural and architectural conflicts that may result from major equipment sizing and orientation. BIM increases prefabrication and captures its cost benefits.
