Rochester’s Park Ridge Hospital project marks Bell’s entry into the Healthcare Industry

1977

Bell awarded first out-of-state project – Mercy Hospital in Scranton, PA

1980

Entered Wastewater Treatment sector as GC – Van Lare WTP in Rochester NY

1980

Bell receives service contract for the outage and maintenance work at Ginna Nuclear Plant, the first of many nuclear plant projects Bell will perform in future years

1985

First DC-area office opens in Upper Marlboro, MD

1986

Bell awarded first Federal contract: Fort Drum –10th Mtn Division Expansion project

1989

Bell wins Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center contract, the largest healthcare project in the Northeastern U.S.

1990

Construction begins at West Valley Vitrification Plant – the first nuclear waste treatment facility in the country

1992

Bell awarded Pentagon’s Heating & Refrigeration Plant project, largest Chiller Facility in the United States to date

1993

Charleston AFB Apron Hydrant System project is Bell’s first major foray into the South Carolina construction arena

1996

Bell awarded Design/Build Contract for the INS Detention Facility, Batavia, NY

1997

Bell awarded NIH Chiller Plant, which eclipsed the Pentagon as the largest Chiller Plant in the U.S.

2000

Bell simultaneously secured two Design/Build correctional facility contracts – Gilmer WV FCI & Canaan PA USP

2002

Bell is licensed in 18 states across the country

2007

Bell enters into first formal Design-Assist contracts – Mercy Medical Center in Baltimore and Philip Morris in Richmond

In December 2021, The Bell Company, LLC merged with HB Global, LLC, headquartered in Harrisburg, PA. HB Global is an employee-owned parent company with nine Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing contracting divisions across the United States and U.S. Virgin Islands. HB Global divisions have completed work in 25 states, the District of Columbia, 10 Caribbean Islands, Honduras & Mexico.
