Bell was awarded the Mechanical and Plumbing scopes of work for the Design-Assist and Construction phases of the Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital Crystal Springs Tower Addition & Renovation Projects. Phil Hull, Project Manager, is the Bell Lead at Roanoke Memorial, and is supported by Assistant Project Manager, Brad Kirkey.
This is Bell’s first time working with Robins & Morton/Branch Builds, Construction Manager, and Carilion Clinic, Owner.
The project consists of multiple phases of work, as follows:
• CST-01 Water Authority Enabling Sitework
• CST-02 Temporary ED Ambulance/Walk-in Entry/West Parking Lot Re-Work, ED Structural Infill, and Dietary Shell Addition
• CST-03 Weller Lane Relocation Site Package
• CST-04 Structural Foundation and Framing Packages & Central Utility Plant Upgrades
• CST-05 Architectural, Final Civil/Landscape and MPE Package
This project includes alterations to existing systems and new construction, keeping all existing systems operational. Future projects include: Behavioral Health Tower, Parking Garage, Connector.

The recently completed United Therapeutics headquarters building, the Unisphere, constructed in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, has been certified LEED Platinum. The Bell Company, working as a subcontractor for the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, was responsible for all Mechanical and Plumbing construction.
