In January of 2018 The Bell Company was awarded a contract by Turner Construction Company for the mechanical & plumbing scope of work for the new Roper St. Francis Berkeley County Hospital located in South Carolina. Scheduled to open in the fall of 2019, this 115,000 sq. ft., 50-bed, acute care hospital (designed by HDR), will be the first full service hospital facility in Berkeley County to serve the growing communities of Summerville, Goose Creek and Monks Corner. The recently completed United Therapeutics headquarters building, the Unisphere, constructed in downtown Silver Spring, Maryland, has been certified LEED Platinum. The Bell Company, working as a subcontractor for the Whiting-Turner Contracting Company, was responsible for all Mechanical and Plumbing construction.
