Bell Constructors, LLC was selected to perform the mechanical and plumbing scopes of work for long-time industry partner Johnson Controls, Inc. (JCI) for their new advanced testing and development laboratory in Shrewsbury, PA. Bell is a subcontractor to the joint venture McCarthy/P.J. Dick/Stewart & Tate. Bell is installing complete plumbing and HVAC systems for the facility, as well as fabricating and installing all process piping that will be required to support testing operations. Project highlights include: (9) Chillers; (1) 27,000 Gal CHW Tank; (63) Pumps; 1,000 & 3,000 HP Compressors; (16) Pressure Vessels; and 100,000 ft. of piping: ½” – 24”.

Bell was the mechanical and plumbing design assist subcontractor for the University of Virginia Health System’s new emergency department and inpatient bed tower. Located in Charlottesville, Virginia, this project was designed by Perkins and Will and built by Skanska.
