Bell delivered the Mechanical and Plumbing Core & Shell Package for the new construction patient tower. Adventist HealthCare Shady Grove Medical Center's Horizon Tower opened in June 2026. The six-story, 150,352 square foot patient tower officially broke ground in May 2023.
The new addition includes:
- Larger, modernized Emergency Department with 38 treatment bays
- State-of-the-art replacement Intensive Care Unit
- New Medical Surgical Unit
- All-private rooms throughout
- Repositioned critical care, observation and emergency psychiatric treatment units to improve workflows
- Rooftop helipad
- Outdoor green space patios to allow patient families and caregivers respite
