Bell Constructors, LLC was selected by Caddell Construction Company, LLC to be the mechanical contractor for the $100 MM, 265,364 SF expansion of the Nuclear Power Training facility in Goose Creek, South Carolina.  Bell's scope of work for the project includes the installation of  the process piping, plumbing, and HVAC piping and sheet metal systems and equipment.  The expansion of the current complex consists of the construction of a new multi-story training operation facility building 2701, a single story secured area entry control point building 2626, construction of new administrative classroom and laboratory building 2711, renovation of the existing building 2314, system upgrades to the existing south pier and system upgrades and extension to the north pier.

The NPTU building currently serves more than 1,400 Navy students per year with an expected growth to more than 3,000 students per year by 2020.  When the project is complete in  2018 NPTU's Operational Submarine Training Facility and Nuclear Power Operation Support Facility will include training, specialty utility systems, warehousing, berthing and security buildings helping NAVFAC and NPTU to successfully meet the mission of providing highly technologically advanced education to the students to meet the future Fleet training demand.
